Dear friends,
We are delighted to share with you our very first monthly program for The Art Club by Art in Latin America.
This October, we’re taking you on a journey across the region with a mix of events: an online masterclass on starting your art collection with a Guatemalan gallerist, behind-the-scenes studio visits with two artists in Peru (no travel required), and an in-person studio visit in London during Frieze week.
We’ve designed The Art Club to be a place where you can connect with voices shaping Latin American art today, discover new perspectives, and enjoy insider access without borders. We are excited to bring you closer to the artists, galleries, and ideas driving the scene, from wherever you are.
We hope you enjoy the program, and we can’t wait to welcome you in. If you haven’t yet joined The Art Club, you can still do so here. As part of our launch, the first month is complimentary for all our current readers.

October 8th: Private Studio Visit with Ariana Macedo and Ivet Salazar (Online)
In partnership with BLOC Art, join us on an online visit to Ariana and Ivet's studios in Lima, Peru. The artists will present their work, discuss their shared experiences as women artists, and share perspectives on Peru’s contemporary art scene.
Ariana Macedo reimagines objects tied to care and domesticity as delicate textile sculptures, transforming what is often overlooked into spaces of memory and resilience. Her work foregrounds maternity and ancestral weaving traditions as political and poetic acts.
Ivet Salazar fuses clay and textile into hybrid “ceramic weavings” that embody fragility, memory, and cultural transmission. Through performance and installation, she connects the intimate body with collective histories.

October 16th: Private Studio Visit with Isabella Amram (London, United Kingdom)
As part of our Frieze London program, we are pleased to offer an in-person private studio visit with Turkish-Venezuelan artist Isabella Amram.
Isabella's work is rooted in Gestural Abstraction, using paint as an extension of the body to record physical, intuitive encounters with the canvas. Through a slow, layered process and simultaneous engagement with multiple works, she creates paintings that balance control and spontaneity, materiality and mystery. Her practice evokes the physicality of performance while remaining an intimate dialogue between artist and artwork, where gestures act as emotional, sensory echoes beyond language.
Isabella holds a BA from Brown University and a MA from the Royal College of Art. She has exhibited widely in Europe and Turkey, with works in international collections.

October 30th: How to Start an Art Collection with Jimena de Tezanos, founder of La Galeria Rebelde (Online)
Guatemalan gallerist Jimena de Tezanos, founder of La Galería Rebelde, will lead a special session on how to begin an art collection.
Open to young collectors and those curious about starting their journey, the talk will provide an accessible introduction to shaping a personal vision, engaging with galleries and artists, and making thoughtful acquisitions with confidence. It will also be a unique opportunity to speak directly with a gallerist: Jimena will gladly answer questions and foster an open conversation with participants.

Estamos felices de compartir con ustedes nuestro primer programa mensual de The Art Club de Art in Latin America.
Este octubre los invitamos a un recorrido por la región con una mezcla de eventos: una masterclass online sobre cómo iniciar una colección de arte con una galerista guatemalteca, visitas a talleres de artistas en Perú (sin necesidad de viajar), y una visita en persona a un estudio en Londres durante la semana de Frieze.
Hemos diseñado The Art Club como un espacio para conectar con las voces que están dando forma al arte latinoamericano hoy, descubrir nuevas perspectivas y disfrutar de un acceso privilegiado sin fronteras. Nos emociona acercarlos a los artistas, galerías e ideas que impulsan la escena, estén donde estén.

8 de octubre: Visita Privada al Taller de Ariana Macedo e Ivet Salazar (Online)
En colaboración con BLOC Art, acompáñanos en una visita virtual a los estudios de Ariana e Ivet en Lima, Perú. Las artistas presentarán su trabajo, hablarán de sus experiencias compartidas como mujeres artistas y compartirán perspectivas sobre la escena contemporánea peruana.
Ariana Macedo reimagina objetos vinculados al cuidado y la domesticidad como delicadas esculturas textiles, transformando lo que suele ser pasado por alto en espacios de memoria y resiliencia. Su obra resalta la maternidad y las tradiciones ancestrales del tejido como actos políticos y poéticos.
Ivet Salazar fusiona arcilla y textil en “tejidos cerámicos” híbridos que encarnan fragilidad, memoria y transmisión cultural. A través de la performance y la instalación, conecta el cuerpo íntimo con historias colectivas.

16 de octubre: Visita Privada al Taller de Isabella Amram (Londres, Reino Unido)
Como parte de nuestro programa en Frieze London, ofrecemos una visita privada en persona al estudio de la artista turco-venezolana Isabella Amram.
La obra de Isabella se enraíza en la Abstracción Gestual, utilizando la pintura como extensión del cuerpo para registrar encuentros físicos e intuitivos con el lienzo. A través de un proceso lento y en capas, y trabajando simultáneamente en múltiples obras, crea pinturas que equilibran control y espontaneidad, materialidad y misterio. Su práctica evoca la fisicalidad de la performance, al mismo tiempo que mantiene un diálogo íntimo entre artista y obra, donde los gestos actúan como ecos emocionales y sensoriales más allá del lenguaje.
Isabella es licenciada por Brown University y magíster por el Royal College of Art. Ha expuesto ampliamente en Europa y Turquía, y sus obras forman parte de colecciones internacionales.

30 de octubre: Cómo Iniciar una Colección de Arte con Jimena de Tezanos, fundadora de La Galería Rebelde (Online)
La galerista guatemalteca Jimena de Tezanos, fundadora de La Galería Rebelde, liderará una sesión sobre cómo comenzar una colección de arte.
Abierta a jóvenes coleccionistas y a quienes tengan curiosidad por dar sus primeros pasos, la charla ofrecerá una introducción accesible para dar forma a una visión personal, interactuar con galerías y artistas, y realizar adquisiciones reflexivas con seguridad. También será una oportunidad única para hablar directamente con una galerista: Jimena responderá preguntas y fomentará una conversación abierta con los participantes.
