At the epicenter of globalization and the art trade, the Swiss edition of Art Basel continues to position itself as one of the leading spaces for the legitimization of contemporary art, where Latin American art also makes a solid and forceful appearance.

Among the countless proposals to discover and enjoy during the days of Basel, both the fairs and the satellite projects formed a complex and inseparable fabric that invites us to rethink artistic practices shaped by globalization, capitalism, consumption, territorialization, technology, and many other issues that define the contemporary world. Against this backdrop, we invited curator and Art in Latin America’s Paris advisor, Dayneris Brito, to share her highlights from the fair.

Carlos Garaicoa, who presents an outstanding proposal at his new Parisian gallery, Mor Charpentier. At the same gallery, the young and promising painter Daniel de la Barra, alongside the always stimulating installations of Guadalupe Maravilla.
